News Flash: JFK is still Dead

Seriously, it is a slow time for blogging creativity for holySmith!.

I just haven’t had it in me lately. Between some rather significant changes at work and the time I enjoy with holySmith! The Boy (previously known as holySmith! The Baby), times have been tough here in the blog space. I am not giving it up or anything, but I thought I would pop in here and update the legions of holySmith-ers out there that I wasn’t dead or something like that.

Had I been dead, you surely would have heard about it on CNN, or at least Fox News. There would have been candlelight vigils, makeshift memorials, and a Matt Lauer interview with holySmith! The Wife.

Anyway, I have a lot of work to do. This was my five-minute break to let my brain do something different and unwind for a bit.

Just curious… what event signaled the changing of the name from holySmith! The Baby to holySmith! The Boy? Was it the fact that he’s starting to walk/talk? Or was it the exact moment he discovered he had a penis?

By the way, you may have made a conscious effort to call him “the boy” on your blog, but I can tell you from experience that you’ll find yourself referring to him as “the baby” for a lot longer than you should be. Example, let’s say he starts going to kindergarten and you and holySmith! The Wife are both working and you need to coordinate on who will pick him up that day, you’ll ask her “Are you on your way to pick up the baby?” Even though he’s f’n 5 years old for chrissake.

    Kids man. Kids.

Also, sorry I forgot to say this in my comment above, but “Welcome back to the blogosphere holyDouche!” I thought you were dead or something like that, so I started watching CNN and Fox News for details on your funeral arrangements.

On behalf of the legions of holyDouch-ers out here (aka me), I’m glad you’re not dead, because I’m totally not ready to start calling the pope holyDouche! yet. There can only be one.
